TDS Reduction in ETP Water: A Breakthrough with Biotic’s Anaerobic Bio-Culture

Revolutionising Effluent Treatment with Sustainable Biotechnology

Introduction

In February 2025, Biotic Organic Solutions undertook a pilot trial at RKD Furnishing Private Limited, Panipat, to address a common but critical challenge in wastewater management — high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels in ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) outlet water. With water reuse and regulatory compliance becoming increasingly important, this project aimed to demonstrate the effectiveness of Biotic’s enzyme-based and anaerobic bio-culture solutions in significantly reducing TDS in industrial effluents. The trial was conducted under monitored conditions, with results documented to showcase the transformation — as seen in the accompanying media.

Key Challenges Faced

Biotic’s Organic Solution

To address the issue, Biotic used its proprietary anaerobic bio-culture technology in a trial lasting from 20th to 28th February 2025. The treatment involved:

Results

The trial yielded remarkable outcomes, with TDS dropping from 2600 mg/L to just 400 mg/L — an 84% reduction over 8 days. The pH remained stable at 6.5 throughout the process. These results demonstrated that Biotic’s natural bio-culture solution is not only effective but also scalable and cost-efficient. The treated water showed significantly improved potential for reuse, compliant discharge, and environmental safety — making it a viable alternative to expensive and chemical-intensive methods.

As seen in the attached documentation and results, Biotic’s approach marks a new chapter in ETP water treatment — one that combines performance with sustainability.
